✈️ First Flight, First Adventure — A Weekend in Amsterdam
This was a trip of firsts: my first time abroad, my first time on a plane, and our first proper getaway together. A brilliant surprise from my amazing girlfriend — and one I’ll never forget.
From the moment we touched down, Amsterdam felt calm and full of character. Winding canals, leaning buildings, bikes everywhere — it was all like a living film set. We spent our time exploring on foot, letting the city guide us. No strict plans — just walking, watching, and soaking it all in.
We began near the canals, early in the day. The reflections, the old brick, the quiet — it was a photographer’s dream, even just with my iPhone 14. I couldn’t stop snapping.
Amsterdam is packed with history and culture. We explored a few of its famous museums (and got lost down more than a few cobbled alleys in between). Everywhere we went, there was something to see — a bike leaning just right, a shadow on the wall, warm afternoon light hitting the rooftops.
By evening, the city turned golden. The canals shimmered, boats glided by, and that warm end-of-day light made everything feel peaceful and timeless. These are the kinds of photos I’ll always look back on and remember how I felt in that moment.
This trip was short but unforgettable — not just because it was my first time abroad, but because I got to share it with someone really special. Amsterdam was the perfect first adventure, and I’m already excited to plan the next.
