A Week of Adventure: Dubrovnik, Montenegro & Bosnia – April 2025
We spent a fantastic week exploring some truly unforgettable places this April, basing ourselves in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Known for its ancient city walls and iconic red rooftops, it’s easy to see why parts of Game of Thrones were filmed here—it really does feel like stepping into another world.
Wandering through the Old Town, we soaked in the history, the stone streets, and the incredible views from the city walls. It’s the kind of place where every turn gives you a perfect photo opportunity—something I made the most of!
One of the highlights was branching out beyond Dubrovnik to explore the surrounding countries. We took a trip into Montenegro, heading inland to see the peaceful monastery nestled high in the hills and a beautifully serene church perched by the water. The landscape there had a dramatic, cinematic feel—totally different from the coast.
We also made a day trip to Bosnia & Herzegovina, visiting Mostar and the famous Kravica Waterfalls. Mostar’s iconic bridge and cobbled streets were a joy to photograph, and the waterfalls were something else entirely—lush, loud, and magical. Definitely a standout moment from the trip.
This was one of those holidays where every day brought something new, and every place had its own charm and story to tell. I’ve uploaded a selection of photos to try and capture the atmosphere, but honestly, none of them really do the experience justice. If you ever get the chance to explore this part of the world, do it—it’s stunning.
